Before establishing Laurelwood Farm Leah managed several Dressage facilities in the area. Early on her interests were drawn to classical dressage. She works with amateur riders and horses focused on local and national competitions.

Leah has ridden a number of FEI level horses providing training, continuing education and showing in front of Olympic level trainers. She has drawn on this experience to bring riders and their mounts through the levels at an appropriate pace so as to maximize long term gain for both.

Starting young horses and re-schooling problem horses with an emphasis on classical dressage has been a primary part of her experience. With over 30 years of experience at all levels, Leah is especially skilled at instilling proper techniques and habits in both rider and their equine partners. She has schooled many breeds at various ages and levels, and embraces the serious dressage enthusiast who is committed to their improvement.

During time spent working with Kris, Leah had daily instruction with Training Level through Grand Prix horses.
